Giant Kids Run 2011

glad to be back to victorious after more than 3 months away from blogging....... interestingly, some people has commented that victorious shouldnt be just a 'copy and paste' blog... well, wt heck, its my blog anyway... I'll just take that as a complimentary...

Had been to Viva Mall to collect Race Pack for Giant Kids Run 2011 that will be held at Metropolitan Park on the Malaysia Day. The race pack collection opened at 10am and when reaching there at 11.30am, there's a long queue of line although there are nine Race Pack Collection counters operates fully. Saw one guy lining up in front scolding the crew members at the counter for delaying the process... Imagine nine counters are opened, but only three manning the counters...  as usual, nobody answered the scolding...

Then the guy behind me started to vent his frustration to the crew member who are standing at the exit lane for being slow in attending customers.. then, more people started to vent their frustrations... Heard one guy yelled 'do you know you CHEATED all of us?'..... I'm not amused by his statement... See below:

Goodie bag, Official Tshirt, and race bib was promised when registering for the race participation: 

But we only received Tshirt and Race bib when collecting race pack. See here:

Goodie bag will only be distributed after the race... I can see now that most people register only to collect tshirt and goodie bag and then forgo the race... but the organiser are smart too, to ensure full participation, they intended to hold on the goodie bag until after the race. 

Oh, there is one more I found out about the race. As I have registered my son for the 4-6age run, it cover 400m:

Upon receiving the Race Pack, they changed the distances to 700m for 4-6age run. Noticed the distances changed for other age too:

This changes should not happen particularly the changes of the distances. We need to prepare our children to run physically and mentally to the desired distances, and this last minute changes definitely will disturb our preparation...

At last, after all those hassle, managed to received the tshirt and the race bib:

By the way, the collection counters will open until 10pm 11th Sept 2011. So, you still can collect it if havent collected.
